Intro and History Missouri mirrors the demographic, economic and political makeup of the nation as a mixture of urban and rural culture. It has long been considered a political bellwether state. It is a state with both Midwestern and Southern cultural influences, reflecting its history as a border state. It is also a blend between the eastern and western United States, as St. Louis is often called the "western-most eastern city" and Kansas City the "eastern-most western city." Missouri's geography is highly varied. The northern part of the state lies in dissected till plains while the southern part lies in the Ozark Mountains, with the Missouri River dividing the two. The confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers is located near St. Louis.
The efforts of Show Me Independents are directed toward the establishment of positive and dynamic constructs in a populist and representative format in order to achieve true and unbiased societal and political development. We derive our means of synergy via adequate differentiation/similarities in order to minimize risk and achieve benefit to representative government and society through the vehicle of consensus and common ground. We endeavor toward the beneficial establishment of community as a valid and practical alternative to either repressive unity or disjointed disunity.
We are a grassroots populist movement whose design is to benefit Missouri society and to end the division of partisan politics and social division, which has reduced our state and our nation abilities to govern well for the people, by the people.
VISION Show Me Independents will be the Voice of the people aiding and assisting government and the socio-political process to remain true to responsible, objective, and transparent majority representation.
MISSION To engage all Missouri citizens in consensus and implement the return of representative government to the people.
